I am a caring person that gets joy from doing nice things for others. My family remarks that I am insightful when it come to people, I enjoy listening to others and figuring out what makes them happy. It is not uncommon for me to suprise friends with gifts special to their personalities and interests.
Unfortunately, my "uncanny" ability to read people leads me to solving mystery movies half way through the plot. I am learning to keep who done it to myself.
When out with friends, I am laid back about what we do. Wether it is listening to music, walking across the bridges and to dinner, spending time on the river or seeing a game, it's the time I spend with the people I care about that is most important to me.
I seek out friends that are loyal and honest about who they are. I enjoy meeting characters and have friends with a wide variety of backgrounds and personalities. I believe one can never have too many friends!
I love to cook and would enjoy someone that either wanted to roll up their sleeves and help out or wanted to buy the groceries and sit and chat over a glass of wine in the kitchen while I got creative.
My family is very important to me and think it should be the same for someone I date. I also believe having your own friends is essential, I am not the jealous type and could never date someone that isn't ok with me having a girls night out.
Another quality I find important is confidence. I want to know that in a party atmosphere, my date could introduce himself to others and make conversation. Of course, it is important to have fun together but being comfortable with yourself is a must.
I also believe sharing emotions, expectations and values is quintessential to any relationship. No one is perfect and I believe communication is the glue in keeping partnerships strong.
