I've spent most of the last ten years in Montana and Colorado and recently moved back to the Triangle where I'm from to be near my family. And being close to the beach doesn't hurt. ;) I'm very outdoorsy which is why I loved being out west since I spent a lot of time skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and backpacking. I don't watch TV. Some of my goals are to hike the entire Appalachian Trail and bike across Europe.
As much as I enjoy getting grubby outside, I love being girly and looking my best. I have a degree in fine art/photography and enjoy going to First Friday events and art walks, dancing, repurposing materials and furniture, seeing live music, and design/decorating. I also love finding awesome sushi restaurants and places to get a great cocktail, riding my scooter, watching old movies, going to hot springs, and finding vintage treasures at yard sales. Family and friends are the most important things in the world to me and I am loyal, devoted, and giving to those close to me. I'm a huge animal lover and often feel compelled to stop what I'm doing to pet someone's dog :) I enjoy gardening and growing my own tomatoes and basil to make fresh bruschetta, and I love sculpture-- someday I want to have a workshop in my backyard with an arc welder and an acetylene torch.
My ideal guy is someone who can watch a tongue-in-cheek B movie and laugh with me at it....who likes to gab about politics, can tolerate my screaming when I see spiders, is kind and thoughtful, loves a travel adventure, gets dressed up for Halloween, and knows what fork to use at a nice dinner. I'm looking for someone who can be my best friend for an equal, inspiring and loving partnership. I'm a romantic and really believe a successful relationship is founded on commitment to stoking the fire, *laughter*, honesty, trust, and great communication. I'd like to find someone who is career-minded but isn't obsessed with work. All things in moderation. Helping others, volunteering and being mindful of our environment are important parts of my life. It would be great to find someone with a big heart who has a passion for living for more than just himself.
PS- I recently went brunette and will work on getting more new pics. I like to change things up :)
