Hmm... I'm originally from Seattle, but live here in the city now. I grew up there and came here looking for something new (NYC beat out London...I think I made the right choice!). There are still things I miss about Seattle (family, friends, better skiing...definitely not the rain) but New York has definitely grown on me. I try to take advantage of living here as much as I can. I love exploring different neighborhoods, finding new restaurants, trying weird food...I'm definitely more of a "live to eat" person vs the other way around. Though NY is amazing, I'm still a west coast girl at heart. I love doing anything outdoors and try to get out of the city for a weekend (or even a day) as much as I can. In the end though, whether it's a night in cooking together, checking out a random little bar with friends, or a trip somewhere new, I'm happy as long as I'm with the people I'm closest to. Anything can be an adventure if you have good company and the right mindset!
I work as a nurse here in the city and though it's not always easy, I love what I do. I managed to avoid the night shift and get to hang out with kids a lot, so that doesn't hurt either! So what else... I'd like to think I'm open minded, compassionate, and pretty easygoing (except when hungry). I'm very close with my family, and always try to make the people I care about a priority. I'm passionate about a lot of things, but would almost always choose trying something new over something I've done before (almost...).
In general, I'm a positive person and try to make the most of every day and every situation. I'm active, love to travel, and value taking care of myself. I'd love to meet someone who has a similar outlook, a few of the same interests, and can keep me on my toes. I believe that the best relationships happen when people are happy with who they are, but can challenge each other to grow and bring out the best in themselves. I get along best with people who are open minded, kind, confident, and have had enough life experience to know who they are and what they want.
