I'm mostly motivated by the question, "Why?" I like to analyze things.
Self-aggrandizing adjectives: I'm smart, athletic, sensitive, ambitious, and dependable, with a quirky sense of humor. I love words, and I love my dog.
I'm looking for someone who enjoys homey activities (cooking, doing crossword puzzles, reading), exploring (both new places and new activities) and athletics. A great date: trying (and possibly failing) to cook something we've never cooked before. Or going on a hike. Or wandering around a neighborhood we've never been to. Or learning how to box. A date I wouldn't enjoy: going clubbing, or to a sports bar. Or seeing an action movie.
I am intensely curious about people -- what they like, how they feel, what they think and why. To that end, I enjoy pretty involved conversations. I'm a writer, professionally, and I really like my work.
I have a deep wish that someday, someone will hear me whistling on the street and discover me as an emerging whistling talent.
