My profile picture was taken 200 lbs ago, I'm a recovering Bingo addict, and Levar Burton was my childhood hero. That's really all you need to know, the rest of this page is fluff. Here's some fluffy, albeit mostly-true anecdotes about me.
Last year I got fed up with looking like a ret-ard at weddings and I figured dance was the solution. Lessons for 11 months and here I am. I'm no Apollo Anton Ohno (for all you DTWS fans) but I can hold my own in the country two step and the west coast swing. This is something that I'm looking to share with with you, non-negotiable.
I run and move heavy weights around a gym on a daily basis. I don't much care for professional sports but I do like watching "The League" on FX, so that's kind of the same thing. Some of my athletic talents include throwing a tight spiral, burying a soccer ball into a net from outside the 18, and slinging a frisbee across a football field (I know, how am I single!?). Did I mention I run a lot? I ran my first marathon last July in San Francisco. After 26.2 miles, Krispy Kreme donuts at the finish line is the food of the gods. A word of advice: after running non-stop for 3 hours and 51 minutes, do not assume that your stomach can handle four Krispy Kreme donuts....because it can't, you'll yack on your shoes and people will stare.
I go sweet places on the weekends because I am a pilot. Trust me SoCal is a more friendly, less smoggy, and ultimately beautiful place from 10,000 feet in the air. Also, I do not have to deal with inept geriatrics going 55 in the passing lane. San Diego, Catalina, San Francisco, San Luis, and Vegas are a few of my "hot spots" if there was such a category on this site. This Thanksgiving, when my parents come out, I will fly them to the Santa Barbara Elephant bar for Sunday brunch...like I have the last two years.
Here's a list of other stuff I do: meet people for coffee, have people over for dinner, travel to countries that are not Mexico and Canada, read biographies, go to church, snowboard black diamonds, drink (socially, of course), play the six string guitar.
