I am in a good place in life, although my 7th grade self would likely be very disappointed. In an assignment to write about our future, I wrote that I would begin my career as a social worker, then become an FBI agent, while raising 5 children. While my life has taken some turns my 13 year old self didn???t expect, I am feeling excited about what???s next. I took my time deciding that I am ready for this, and I am looking forward to seeing who is out there.
My friends describe me as warm, genuine, thoughtful, hard-working, positive and fun. I have a big, vibrant family and a great group of old friends, and I would do anything for them. I???m here to see if I can find someone who is open, intelligent, kind, active and that I can laugh with.
I grew up in Cleveland and have lived in the D.C. area for the past 12 years. I am continually surprised by how much there is to do in this city and would love to check out some of your favorite spots. My perfect day includes quality time with my kids, an awesome meal (brunch is a favorite), an adventurous outing, and good conversation with friends.
I am drawn to water and watersports. My favorite place in the world is sitting on a dock in Northern Michigan. I was a competitive diver through college, love to swim for exercise and, while I am still new at it, waterski when I can. I haven???t given up on the idea of learning to surf.
I feel like I am right where I am supposed to be professionally. No, I am not a social worker nor an FBI agent, but my job is challenging and has lots of opportunities for creativity and collaboration.
For now, I feel open to meeting a variety of people. I could probably stand to meet some new single friends, but my real goal is to find someone who brings out the best in me and who I make better, too. I have two amazing little people who are a huge part of my life, so I am most interested in someone who knows that they ultimately want to have kids in their life.
