I love animals with lots of fur (for cuddling), summer, bright colors, and trying new things. I'm a huge fan of roller coasters. I laugh until I cry on a regular basis. I'd do absolutely anything for my friends and loved ones. On the weekends I alternate between dancing with my girlfriends and finding a dive bar in Philly where I can beat everyone in Connect Four. Or Apples to Apples. I'm not picky when it comes to drinks and board games. I get to wear jeans at work during the week, so I tend to wear dresses on the weekends. I enjoy being outside, especially in the spring and summer, whether it's a long run or picnic in the park, hiking, playing sports, or just walking downtown. I played lacrosse in high school/college and it'd be pretty awesome if you'd be willing to throw around with me, especially as my sticks have been gathering dust in my closet. Lately, I've been trying to run more seriously, so I've signed up for a bunch of races this spring/summer to motivate me. Wish me luck!
I enjoy cooking for friends and family. Especially when I get to try a new recipe. Recipes I've recently tried include pulled pork and baked kale chips. I hosted Thanksgiving dinner a couple of years ago and despite the craziness, I secretly loved it. I'll talk with you about anything, it really doesn't matter what it is. I'm curious by nature, and I like listening to other people's opinions and interests. This even includes manly topics like: your recent/upcoming camping excursion and your favorite craft brews. I want to go sky diving, white water rafting, and bungee jumping, learn to ski, see the pyramids, and make my own sushi.
I graduated about a year ago, I'm now at Penn doing orthopedic-based research. It's a bit nerdy, but I really enjoy being a part of something that is aimed at making people's lives better. In a few years, I hope to be teaching and mentoring students as they make their own career decisions. This is something I'm pretty passionate about, :). As a side perk, my job allows me to travel a few times out of the year and sometimes it's even to nice locations.
