I am a fun-loving and intelligent girl who is (as my boss would say) just looking for the lid to her pot. I have spent the last several years focused on my education and now that I have been working for a while, I'm ready to start focusing on my personal life. I went to school out of state, and since coming back to Pittsburgh, I have settled back in with a great group of friends from high school, but now I'm looking for ways to meet new people.
I'm a pretty easy going girl who likes to just grab a cup of coffee or a beer with friends, but also enjoys traveling (in and outside of the US - just got back from Barcelona!), going to the theater, and exploring new restaurants. I enjoy going out just as much as I like staying in to watch stand up comedy. I was born in Ohio, but have been in Pittsburgh since I was nine years old and definitely consider it my home. I will watch/attend a Steelers, Penguins, or Pirates game any day.
My family, friends, and faith are the most important things to me. I have four sisters - I'm the middle child - who I'm very close with. In fact, one of my younger sisters is living with me while she goes through law school. One of my older sisters lives in Germany so I miss her every day, but she gives me a great excuse to take a European vacation! My family attempts to have regular family dinners which are always full of laughter and love.
Working with hospitalized children (specifically burn survivors) has taught me to appreciate the simple things in life. I am reminded every day to be thankful for all that I have. Though it can be a tough job, I usually get to spend a good part of my day just enjoying the sweetness of the kids I work with as I help them overcome their fears and work through the pain of their injuries.
