i'm definitely an island boy who lives in a concrete jungle... i'm from LA as well though i have family roots in the philippines and new york. i'm lucky to know other artists, activists, and other hype kids, and i'm definitely a combo of the three, with a work hard, play hard mentality.

so...i produce, teach, and exhibit art (been way too long though). i've shot freelance photography for years and i'm a very hype visual and new media arts teacher. i luckily get to spend my days doing stuff like taking youth on the subways to a walking tour of murals and street art in LA's arts district, and work in arts education at the city and national level. when i'm not doing that i'm probably roaming around the city and elsewhere (manila, havana, the bay, and nyc/puerto rico most recently, and SE asia this summer) looking for inspiration :)
when not stuck working like crazy as a middle and high school teacher i'm hopefully at a beach, an art show opening, at spots with drank in hand catching my favorite dj's/live music/art (reggae, electronica, hip hop, soul), at the new crib in silver lake with friends, playing the holy games of basketball or soccer, making art/photos/portraiture like (lately) fashion at my spot with its great lighting, or getting lifted and doing any number of the above or other acts of debauchery! i'm also very active doing things like basketball, soccer leagues, martial arts (currently brazilian capoiera), biking, scuba diving, spearfishing, yoga, and throwing down on the dancefloor haha
i'm looking to meet others who have a similar energy and rhythm. if you're game we should play :)
