Okay, here we go...I'm venturing out because I just moved to New York (from beautiful Santa Monica). I've been working and traveling a ton since I've been here so it feels like a bit of a long business trip. I haven't had much time to date, but I would love to explore the City with a beautiful partner in crime - it's time to live in the real world.
So for those who like to read, I'm an open book: I'm a real person, grounded and stable, but very creative and imaginiative. I love to have fun and be a kid. I love martinis (dry, up, with a twist!), but I'm very hard working and active too.
What I love about NY thus far is the energy, the activity, and the arts. Creativity is serious business with me; I'm a big fan.
I love to laugh and joke, but need to balance the care free with a deep sense of commitment to the world around me. If I had more confidence in this online dating thang, I'd probably open up more, but I guess I'll save the rest in case I connect with someone interesting (or just really hot and famous, JK!).
Some more factoids for the curious: faith is important, hope is important, love is supreme. Charity is important, fun is too - God bless when those two come together. Kids are amazing (I have 4 perfect god kids, courtesy of my best friend). Drama is unnecessary when there's good communication. Personal style is crucial. A stylish girl is always attractive because style is just another expression of creativity.
Going out and staying in are equally important (although I have gone to one too many black tie events alone at this point - they're way more common here than in LA). Exercising and sports are in my DNA, along with business and the arts.
What am I looking for? Well, I guess the answer is I'll know when I see her - I definitely believe in that (which is why my profile is pretty wide open). I can tell you that I would only like to talk to someone intelligent, interesting, and very fun.
Here's to a match, or at least to getting to know the City and meeting someone great in the process!
PS. "Quote of the day" for this experience: "Sincerity means that the appearance and the reality are exactly the same." I'm sincere. No false reps or warranties here. I shudder to think of all the potential for false advertising! I hope you feel the same.
