I sing songs to my dog...I usually make up the lyrics. He probably does not enjoy it as much as I do.
I am pretty comfortable with who I am, where I am in my life, and who I am becoming, imperfections and all.

I'm beginning to realize that, while I lead a fairly "non-traditional" life (whatever that means), have been an independent person for most of my life and I can certainly take care of myself, I have somewhat traditional views on dating. I like phone calls. I like dates that are thought-out and planned, but I like spontaneity too. I like for a man to put forth effort. I like the dance of a courtship.
I love music in general and love all types of music. I love going to see live shows.
I'm a t-shirt and jeans kind of a woman who likes to wear dresses. I like cleaning up but don't mind getting my hands dirty.

I like to start my day with a morning run or yoga. I'm active and like to workout 4-5 days a week...true story.

I've traveled to nearly 30 countries. I've lived in a few, including 2 in Africa (HIV research in Zambia and maternal and child health work in Ethiopia). I love to travel...it is a passion. I like to settle myself into different cultures. I just got back from a 4 week vacation traveling through Europe. It was amazing and I am now in love with Paris, Berlin, London, Istanbul, and Vathi-Samos.
