An infinite number of monkeys at an infinite number of typewriters still wouldn't come up with anything as varied and interesting as real life. Like the time a mummified monkey outsmarted my date. Ask me over dinner, it's a great story. I'm full of great stories, mostly because I've known a lot of great people. And now I want to meet some more. ;)
What can I say about me? Lifelong bibliophile, devoted friend, love to dance, like to hang out in the park and soak up some nature, watch movies, spend time with the people I care about. Not much into sports - unless it's UCLA, and then I never miss a game. I love skeeball and Scooby Doo. Grew up in the Bay Area, went to college, came back to be near family and friends. Oh yes, fair warning, love me, love my friends - the same gang I grew up with is still as tight as ever, and you couldn't ask to know better people. I'm one of those girls who is quiet and reserved among strangers - then but among friends is passionate and talking up a storm and dancing on tables. I'm open to trying new things, but I know when to draw the line.
Who am I looking for, besides the usual qualities? I particularly value: intelligent, funny, a good friend, kind, quirky, honorable, compassionate, and not too old to laugh their butt off at the comic genius of Bugs Bunny. I like a guy who has a healthy amount of self-respect and confidence in himself and what he has accomplished. I think the things I notice most about a guy are how awake to life he is, how he treats other people, the spark in his eyes. Intelligence is marvelous too - I love it when someone can bounce around clever references or esoteric connections with me. Best of all is the intangible quality known as character - that subtle combination of integrity, kindness, and honesty.
