I moved to NYC in September of last year for graduate school which has kept me busy, so although I’m content with the new friends I’ve made, I’ve had little opportunity to meet potential significant others. It's really important to me that I can be silly and goofy with the people I'm around. While this is a priority, I also look for people who are hard working and ambitious. I am very goal oriented and think I’ve done a pretty good job of building upon my experiences and challenging myself to get to where I am, so I like to be around others who do the same. I appreciate people who are insightful and good communicators.
I'd describe myself as laid back and down to earth. Flip flops are usually better than heels, and a delicious craft beer is always better than a girly cocktail. I don't think I will ever choose a cruise or resort like vacation over backpacking and truly getting to know a new place. And I would probably vote more often for pizza and a movie on Netflix than pricey and small portioned dinners out.
It'd be great to meet someone who shares my passion for travel and exploring new places and things, as well as learning about other cultures through food, museums, live music, events, etc. Checking out comedy shows, spending an afternoon at the park, or going to a farmer's market are other things I'd suggest doing. Meeting someone who could teach me about some kind of interest they have which I know nothing about would be pretty neat too =)
