I work hard and I am dedicated to my family. After God/Jesus, family is the most important thing to me. I like to be around people who are spiritual, family oriented, intellectual, hard working, gracious, loving and compassionate. I am interested in someone who is passionate about life, discerning, loyal, dedicated and honest.
Respect and honor are things I don't compromise on from someone else or from myself. I like to spend time with that someone special cooking together, playing chess (just learning), enjoying breakfast, watching sports, watching movies, listening to music - just enjoying being together.
I expect and give sacrifice when the need arises. I like to give to others and also like to be catered to. I like spontaneity, romance and someone I can talk to on a real level. Character and values are very important to me.
I am thoughtful and attentive and appreciate the same attributes in someone else. Getting married again is not something I shy away from but something that must be thoroughly considered and with the right person could be something really to look forward to. However I really need to get to know someone before even thinking along these lines. I would like to meet someone who can appreciate everything about me not just the obvious. I love depth and humility. Humility, strength and character are all extremely sexy to me.
The person I spend time with needs to have more going for him than gym time. Other than the physical he needs to be able to engage in conversation, have depth of thought and character and a sense of purpose and accomplishment. Eye candy is great but unless there is brain candy the wrapper is empty.
As far as proximity/distance goes in finding that special someone I view finding the right person (soul mate) when considering a lifetime commitment as more important than a tank of gas or a plane or train ticket. I'm flexible with location for the right potential partner as long as we can realistically and practically see each other on a regular basis.
I am not a big text or email person although each is convenient at times. I prefer phone conversation or ideally in-person interaction. As with everyone my time is extremely important to me. I don't spend it lightly.
