My father has bred snakes while my mother has a burgeoning collection of tarantulas and works on LEGOs. That obviously makes me normal.

ABOUT HIM & WHO HE'S LOOKING FOR

I have rediscovered my love for creating art using the media of crayons and construction paper. As a Sunday school teacher to preschoolers every week, my skills with Elmer’s glue and safety scissors are top notch as well. The only downside is that I can end up covered in glitter.

I am a city boy who was not born but raised in south Detroit**. To be completely honest, it was a backwater town in southeastern Michigan. The only place rocking at midnight on Saturday is Taco Bell. Given that I am from Midwest—and despite the fancy university degrees—I will mispronounce every French and Latin word I come across. I call every stranger—no matter their age—sir or ma’am. And, despite vowing I would never act like my mother, I can talk to each one of those strangers as if they were my good friend (rocks also count as good friends as well).

I probably mastered the art of running a bicycle into taxis more than any real class in college. I aced a wine tasting course and only pulled an all-nighter to attend Wing Bowl. Given that my design project was literal water under a bridge, no one should be surprised. I took a job in The City that Reads in finance. I routinely defeated our brokers in backgammon and placed bets on whether the summer interns could eat one of every item out of a vending machine (hint: always bet against).

Despite this arduous work, my brother and I globe trotted. We navigated an Austrian mountain in a taxi and bolstered Egyptian-American relations in Aswan thanks to Marshall Mathers. My brother also introduced his dune buggy to the local flora of the Arabian Desert. Perhaps I swerved into his path to dodge a camel. Whom would you trust? Me or the person *briefly* detained by the Royal Mounted Police?

Having enjoyed masquerading as an extra from The Wire, I returned to Philadelphia. I pass the time watching French sauces explode in my kitchen, sacrificing my physical well-being for kickball glory, and discovering the most picturesque cobblestone streets in the city.

Perhaps you are a lovely young lady that values her faith and enjoys being around a goofy—but serious when the time comes—man. Maybe you could teach me salsa, take me shopping with you, or find a cause we both can volunteer at. And, perchance, you desire a deep relationship with someone who would also like to be your best friend. Is that you? Let me know—that wink button will do the trick.

Tschüβ!
