If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.
Who I am…Without giving you a list of 20 positive attributes that will make your eyes glaze over…I am a Christian mom, and I try to live every day setting a good example for my son. Every day is a blessing and a gift, and I do everything I can to appreciate that. My health is paramount – without it I cannot care for my family – but I go the extra mile (sometimes literally) to ensure I stay healthy.
Balance. Elusive, but crucial. If anyone out there has figured out true balance in their lives, let me know your secret. Here’s what I try to balance in my life: obedience in my faith, raising a happy healthy child, my health and my “me” time, looking for and (hopefully someday) developing an intimate relationship, friends, family, my big goals, and oh yeah, every once in a while getting the laundry done, dishes in the dishwasher and grocery shopping. So balance – hey, I do the best I can with what I got.
I love (in no particular order): nights out for dinner and a show; a candlelight picnic in front of the fireplace; riding 30 miles on the open road; skiing groomed blues (gone are my dodging tree days); challenging myself to reach a goal; an afternoon at the pool with my son; growing jalapenos and tomatoes; watching students take their first breath on scuba; visiting my family; being a Christian; being a mom; being an athlete.
My social life is relatively limited, as much of my time is spent with my son. I love having people in my home for dinner. I don’t particularly care – nor do I have much time for – going out to the bars, but I do enjoy the occasional dinner out. I can’t stand the nightclub/dance party scene. I’ll hit a movie every once in a while, but I usually like to tuck in with a good one on my couch.
What my friends have told me about me: I make the best movie night popcorn; I have the most amazing belly laugh; I laugh all the time, and I’m actually pretty funny, but I have a hard time presenting that in a profile; I am one of the few women my friends know that can get disgustingly dirty during the Colorado days and within an hour or so, be amazingly dressed for the opera. The grass doesn’t grow under my feet too much. I have wisdom and insight about people and I can be pretty intuitive.
Now for what I am looking for: A Christian man, who wants to be with a Christian woman – a good man with strong values. I am NOT looking for Dad #2 for my son, but rather a positive male role model for him. My son’s father is still a part of our lives, but he is not a threat…the man I am looking for can and will support that. My match has goals and is driven to reach them…not just talk about them. I want to cheer you on from the sidelines or even be your support crew (yes, I will get up at O’Dark:30 to load the car). The man I want may not share my specific goals (I mean, how many of you out there want to finish an Ironman, or become an Open Water Dive Instructor?), but he will support me, get excited for me, and be there when I cross the finish line. If we can smile at each other at the end of the day and be satisfied that we didn’t waste it, let’s chat. I am passionate and intimate on every level and am looking for the same: mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. My ideal man is active and takes good care of himself. We share at least a couple of common interests. I am seeking a confidant, a best friend, a lover. If you see something in this profile that sparks your interest, please e-mail me. No winks please. Take a chance.
