Life is pretty amazing, don't you think? We're surrounded by beauty, warmth, and earth-shattering ideas every day. We live in a place whose natural wonders compete for our attention with good friends, fantastic meals, luscious bottles of wine (sorry, they just go together), concerts, plays, books, sports, museums....and the ocassional traffic snarl on 101. Ok, so it's not perfect.
In addition to pondering what might be improved in road construction techniques, I find myself thinking about you. Where are you, anyway? I've dated men who were pretending to be you. You know, confident, creative, intelligent, fun-loving, athletic, positive, passionate, charming, well-traveled, and, of course, funny as hell (at least to me). Curious about the world and how to make it a better place. A bit seasoned, with plenty of soul, or else probably not very interesting. On the other hand, as for baggage: carry-on only. They might not exactly fit underneath the seat in front of you, but none of those bags that break the overhead bin when you and two flight attendants try to stuff them in.
I travel light, and there are still a couple continents, hundreds of beaches, and about a million good books I need to explore. There are tons of boutique hotels and little cabins, just in California, waiting for us. And I'm sure you could come up with some other interesting sites that don't require leaving home.
