I've spent much of my life abroad having fun and exploring different cultures. I've lived in Cape Town South Africa and one of the most intense travel experiences I've had was spending a yr in constant motion traveling overland all over the continent of Africa.
I've lived in Alicante, Spain and have spent much of my life "turning over rocks" in different parts of the world. Travel has been a major part of my life and it always will be. Self exploration is so important in everyone's life and travel certainly helps enable it. Many people don't take the time to try and figure out who they really are and what makes them tick. I understand the arguments as to why its hard to find the time or money or both but if you only have one shot then it seems worth making it work.
I am an avid athlete (played college sports) and I find myself most content when my day includes some outdoor activity. I am a Baywatch Lifeguard and spend a lot of time in the ocean and almost as much up in the mountains. Skiing and swimming are two of my strongest passions. The end of a great day in the surf or on the mountain is spent enjoying a beer in the sand or in front of a fire with friends...I love sharing a wonderful meal with interesting wine and close friends.
I am addicted to the Sunday New York Times and the Economist. I consider myself well read and well rounded yet you will constantly open my eyes to new things. I have had a pretty amazing set of experiences up until now and I would hope to be able to enrich your life in many ways as well. That said, we are not going to get along if you consider Fox news to be real news.
I grew up in Darien, Connecticut and hence a certain amount of Republican insanity. I ask for fair and balanced :) and the Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert team are more my speed. A mind is a wonderful thing when left open.
I hope to find an intellect, a beauty, an adventure traveler, a complete woman who is strong, independent, loving and caring. I want to be dazzled by your wit and puzzled by your personality. I try and lead a well balanced life (with only occasional major lapses) and I would certainly expect the same from you. I like to do a lot of different things but am not really fanatical about any of them . I absolutely love my job the vast majority of time and am in constant need of challenging myself. I assume the same of you - Upbeat and adventurous and bright enough to warm the world with your smile.
