I drive a diesel (when I must) and ride a bicycle (as often as I can); these are things that are important to me. I wake up most mornings well before the sun comes up and row the Anacostia. I’m a morning person and relish the meditativeness that accompanies being in the shell. I believe in actively living every moment of every day. However, like everyone capable of reading this - I’m only human and get caught up in the mundane complexities of city living all the time. Which is why I LOVE escaping the city when I can; especially if it involves camping and being serenaded to sleep by crickets and bull frogs. I've been living in DC intermittently for about 6 years (more here than there the past 3), before that I called northeast Ohio home. I have pictures of my feet in 45 states and often fantasize about which direction I’ll head next. For now, the adventures of living in the capital haven't surpassed me yet. The best (read: my favourite) word that anyone has ever used to describe me is "altruistic." I have a childlike sense of innocence and do believe in good and the good in people. Plagued by a sense of wanderlust, but temporarily willing to settle for exotic places through the medium of books. I believe in living consciously and try to make ethical decisions about all the transactions in my life. Food, needless to say, is something I spend a lot of time thinking about. I love how easy it is to find really good produce in this town! What I’m looking for is fairly simple. We’re all here to meet someone. Maybe that someone is you, maybe not. But, we'll never know if we don't try. Big dreams are more important to me than big dollars; and being conscious about your health is another necessity. I’m not looking for someone who is addicted to the gym; in fact, I’d prefer if you were so in love with the outdoors that you catered your workout to spend time there. I’m admittedly bashful at first, but I smile a lot and am easy to talk to. So,…do you fancy a drink sometime?
