Well, let's see - I love my job, but when I'm not there, I'm definitely not one to stay at home when there's so much to see and do, whether that's just hanging out with nearby friends, or flying to far off places. Great conversation is really important to me because there are so many things to try, places to explore, ideas to share and people to meet - I can't imagine not being able to bounce all that life has to offer around with someone else. I feel like I'm difficult to describe because I can run the gamut from caring to tough, simple and complex, reserved but outgoing, planned but spontaneous, competitive and carefree. (Sorry I'm not seeming to be much help in this department!)
Anything outdoors, active and fun is something I'm up for. When it comes to down time, movie-watching, reading, or working on random projects is usually what I spend my time on. BUT who am I kidding - I'm a grad student so really, I spend my time reading, writing, reading, discussing, writing... you get the picture. Oh, precious light at the end of the tunnel!....
It may also help to know that I'm not an extremist of any kind. I am more of an amateur dabbler - a Jane if you will. Which is fine - I'm much happier being a generalist than an expert.
I love the idea of sustainability and how, even in small ways, I can practice better/healthier living - but I am not without my anti-earth vices since my car still guzzles gasoline, organic foods are a little pricey, and I sometimes forget to recycle. Nevertheless, the love, interest and intention is definitely there. One other tid-bit, I believe in as little make-up as possible to get the job done and NOTHING fake (tans, implants, hair color, nails, etc.). But I do enjoy "playing dress up" and feeling good about how I look.
I might as well be an oxymoronic chameleon....
Who I'm looking for? I hate to be really pre-prescribed in this area because I could create some ideal list then be surprised by something completely different. But for a starting point - someone that likes to be and stay active - doesn't really matter with what. Just so long as your perfect Saturday doesn't involve the couch, you don't have an aversion to traveling or trying new things, and you can talk about more than one interesting topic, I'd say we can work from there :). - Oh, and a decent understanding/appreciation/relationship with that Jesus character would be good too.
