People always ask me if I'm from California because they think I'm too mellow to be a (native) New Yorker. My grade school teacher once told me that based on my writing, she suspected I had an old soul. I'm an idealist at heart, but am also a cynic. I'm genuinely nice. I'm not afraid to walk in the rain or get my hands dirty. I appreciate honesty and kindness. I enjoy "me" time. I love to travel and feed my curiosity for people, places and experiences (5 continents, 27 countries and many more to go). I'm an avid learner. I'm a mild-mannered tree-hugger. I like to be inspired. Depending on my mood, I can be a hermit, a hedonist or an altruist. Most days, I am all three.
I recently moved back to NYC after living abroad for two years. I still think New York is one of the greatest cities in the world, and I look forward to re-discovering it on my own terms. That said, I am looking to expand my social circle and meet some new friends/activity partners along the way.
