Let me start off by saying that I have a two year old daughter, who means the world to me, and I will be the best father that I can be. She lives with her mother, but I get her every other weekend. I'm a very nice guy, who enjoys life and having a good time, whether it be vacationing in New Orleans, Memphis or San Francisco, or curling up on the couch with my woman watching a good movie. I'm laid back, and will do anything for the person I care about.
I'm a police captain for a large law enforcement agency, where I've had a great career. However, I'm retiring in three years, and looking forward to the second half of life. I write poems and lyrics, but don't consider myself to be a poet or writer. That said, a poem I wrote was made into a short film, which has been submitted to several film festivals, including Los Angeles and New Orleans. Although I was part of the ensemble cast, I don't consider myself to be an actor. In fact, this whole film project is still an out of body experience for me.
I love sports, so going to a Laker game at Staples, or driving to Oakland to watch the Raiders is a must. I like going to matinees by myself, but its best when that special person comes along. There's nothing like having the theatre all to ourselves. Recently I've been doing the club scene, and have seen a few up and coming bands. I'm truly enjoying being around people that create. I love music and my musical tastes run from Johnny Cash to Rage Against the Machine, Tupac to Coldplay, U2 to Etta James, Beyonce to Pink Floyd, okay, you get the point.
I enjoy cooking in the kitchen, but love to bar-b-que for my friends. There's something about having a beer in one hand, and a utensil in the other, while my woman takes care of me with an occasional kiss or hug or both. A shot of tequila here and there isn't bad either.
I was raised by my mother, so I guess you could call me a mama's boy. She's the greatest person in the world, and I love her dearly. I saw how she struggled to raise four kids, which is why I have total respect for women.
My perfect match is someone that enjoys spending time with me, whether its in a bar, theatre, or just hanging out in the backyard. She is spontaneous and willing to take a chance. If you're into drama, I'm not your guy. Drama es no bueno. I'm color blind and an equal opportunity dater, so if there's chemistry between us, its on!!! If its on, she doesn't mind public displays of affection, especially when wearing that little black dress. I like a woman that can laugh at herself and be playful. Life is far too short not to enjoy it. Well, I've rambled on enough, lets get it started!
