Welllll, I guess for starters I would describe myself as compassionate, honest, loyal, caring, committed, funny and playful. My friends would probably tell me I left "pain in the rear" out of the description. From what I've been told and believe, in a relationship, two of my better qualities are, never forgetting the little things that matter and my willingness to be open-minded, make adjustments and compromise. Too many times we forget the small things in life. So often, we look at are other half and try to make them happy by doing what would make us happy. We forget it's not about us, it's about what makes them tick and warms their heart. I guess I'm a sap or a romantic, but I believe in flowers being sent to work for no reason, a note put on the car seat for when you leave to work that says nothing more than "I love you". All I can say is this is something I have always done and the fire burning to do it inside me never seems to go out.
Family and friends are one of the things I value most and will always stay loyal to. Generally, I have no problem going to a local to hang out for a few drinks, but the downtown bar scene isn't much of my thing. I love a good cookout, fire and friends. Just as equally, I love nothing more than hanging out with that special someone for a night watching a movie on the couch or staying up until the sun comes up talking the night away. I'm up for just about anything, hiking, skiing, mountain biking, running, camping, snorkeling and the list goes on.
I really want that person I connect with. The one that gets me and I get them. I truly am a person who is happy putting a smile on my girls face and hope the same makes her happy. I do want that person that I can stay up with until the stupid hours of the morning. The one where you look at the clock and it's 11pm and when you look back it's 3am and you have no clue where the time went. Trust, loyalty, love and care mean so much to me in a relationship. I am trusting and loyal to the depths of my soul and hope for same.
Vacations.....hope you like to travel. While I usually need a kick in the rear or someone else to plan it for me I am up for anywhere tropical and so many other places. I won't lie, but planning a vacation can be one of my down falls.
I have two beautiful little monsters. My daughter is 10 and my son is 5. No matter how bad life gets at times my kids are what keeps me pushing on and are the most important part of my life. My kids are the most precious and genuine aspect of my life.
I have spent fourteen years in the Army and have 7.5 until I'm done. Currently I have one year left to finish my Bachelor's Degree and plan on having my Master's Degree by the time I retire from the Army. Before I graduated high school I had planned on attending Ohio St., but last minute I made a mature decision that I wasn't mature enough for college at that point in my life and knew I couldn't sit at home wasting my life away. So, I chose the Army and so far have done pretty darn good in my career, but I look forward to life after the Army too.
A simple saying I like......
Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.
