Hi! I am originally from Jersey and came down to this area for college, found a job, and ended up sticking around. I would describe myself as open minded, a bit nerdy, with a sarcastic sense of humor. I'm pretty laid back and enjoy getting dressed up sometimes but would much rather be in a tshirt, jeans, and sneakers at a friend's place or at a lowkey bar. Like everyone else I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I like the movies, new/interesting restaurants, Nats games, comedy shows, bowling, bar trivia, and board games.
I also enjoy being outside and walking around but I don't live to workout. I bike to work (because it's faster than metroing), occassionally explore local trails, and hike at places like Sugarloaf Mountain and Great Falls. I ran a half marathon a few years ago and don't think I ever need to do that again!
Other than working, I've been trying to get out and have new experiences. In the past year I've gone skydiving, taken cooking classes, had ice skating lessons, took jazz dance lessons, and learned to dog sled in Maine. I also went to NOLA for the first time and later this year I'm going to Europe. I really love traveling - too bad it costs so much money! On my list of dream destinations are Turkey, South Korea, Vietnam, Morocco, and Peru. I would much rather explore a city, meet the people, eat the local food, and experience the culture than lay on a beach at a resort or take a cruise. Never been much of a beach person.
I'm looking to meet someone who is up for trying new activities and sharing their own interests with me, and who has a good sense of humor and a positive outlook.
