I hope to find someone who is kind, smart, athletic, has integrity and humility, has the capacity to love, has a sense of humor, has passions of his own--whatever they may be--and is a good communicator. A simple wish, right!? I seem to be drawn to men who are intellectuals with a rugged masculinity about them. I am both easy-going (i.e., flexible, friendly) and intense (i.e., high-energy, determined). Being intellectually stimulated by and with my partner is important. I enjoy debating topics and I am a nerd when it comes to learning new things. I need to be outdoors often, love cooking for my friends, enjoy attending sporting events and going to museums and art exhibits, listen to NPR all the time, love Peet's coffee, like to try new restaurants and go to neighborhood dive bars, visit my family on the East Coast often, and enjoy traveling whether a small adventure by car or a trip to somewhere new. I strive to be a good person in the world and take seriously the act of loving the people I care about.
