You cannot step into the same river twice. Everything and everybody is changing all the time. Change is the only constant. There are times when I am willing to "roll with the flow”. Other times I just have to “swim against the tide "i.e. in the case of obvious injustice.
I consider myself to be more open than closed. I avoid hurting others; however I consider that my first loyalty is to my family. If setting a reasonable boundary will be hurtful to another, I will still set that boundary - regardless. There are times when no matter what we do, someone will be hurt. And there will be times when our actions will hurt another and we won't even know about it.
