What the...?!?! How fast has this summer gone? It seems like just yesterday was the beginning of June and everyone was getting ramped up for hanging out at the park, hitting the patios for happy hour after work, showing up with sun burnt faces at the office on Mondays and going to the pool on the weekends! Well, maybe not so much of that last one. I guess we'd best get out there and enjoy what summer we have left!
As you may have guessed, all of those things I mentioned above are things that I love to do regularly (except for maybe the sun burn). I love spending time up in the mountains and actually think the getting there can be as much fun, sometimes, as the time spent there. I mean, there are so many out of the way places here accessed by only remote roads that once you get out there, windows down and music playing, sun in your face, you really and truly feel like you've left everything behind for a little while.
A few of my idiosyncrasies that come to mind:
I enjoy traveling or staying in town. I love to read but think TV is awesome (movies, too). Winter is my favorite but I have a soft spot for summer, too. Going back home for a weekend to get out of the city and into the cool mountain air is a favorite, plus who can resist a hot tub and a beer?
At the end of the day I hope that I can meet someone that shares some of my interests, but has many of her own to show me. Someone who enjoys spending time with friends as easily as a weekend to ourselves. Someone who wants to go places and try new things but also realizes that, yes, sometimes a "Mad Men" marathon is on TV and my brain ceases to work and next thing you know we've watched 5 or 6 episodes in a row. Someone who loves a good road trip that starts out with no specific destination but ends up being a weekend you'll never forget.
It's worth a shot, right?
