ABOUT HIM & WHO HE'S LOOKING FOR

I am your typical Boston-born, Colorado-raised, sarcastic SoCal transplant, who ended up here much like everyone else did -- chasing the California dream of great weather, limitless sunshine, sandy beaches, beautiful people, and, of course, an irrational desire to pay a ridiculously high cost of living. Inspired following another late May snowstorm during my senior year of high school, I crammed my life into a couple of larger suitcases and disappeared into the abundant Los Angeles smog (more affectionately known as an inversion layer by the natives), which I then subsequently abandoned for the beaches of San Diego a little over a year ago.

I graduated from UCLA with my degree in Political Science and Accounting, and amazingly enough, convinced someone to employ me (despite the eye rolls and snickers my liberal arts major got during interviews). For the last few years, I have worked as a hospital management consultant (whatever that means). My career has been rewarding and interesting and has provided much needed fodder for my often-repressed smart remarks. The only real downside is that none of my friends (or even my mom for that matter) knows quite what I do. Now that I think about it, I really don't quite know what I do for a living either, but my personal aversion towards finding a real job provides me enough motivation to stick around.

My work keeps me traveling frequently, and I am on a first name basis with several flight attendants (I once had the same one for ten flights in a row). Despite all the time away, I've actually been able to maintain a good social life (or at least my friends sometimes return my calls). At the very least, my life provides for some interesting adventures and tons of frequent flyer miles.

When I am not stuck on a plane or being lovingly caressed by TSA, you'll likely find me sleeping. Or eating. Or at the gym. I like to get out of the house, check out new restaurants, museums, hiking trails, beaches, or travel someplace fun. I also volunteer as a paramedic for the Red Cross, which has sent me to major disaster areas all over the country (the experiences I have had through my volunteer work have been incredibly mind opening and humbling).

Intermittently, I also attend graduate school at UCSD to which I write large tuition checks only to end up ditching class as frequently as possible. My class attendance is so horrendous that I often get lost on my way to my exams. Somehow, I usually manage to find the correct room...and amazingly enough pass. (so far).

As far as meeting someone on here, I am open to anyone smart, witty, beautiful, and successful. But, at the very least, I really just hope to meet someone who showers regularly.

Additionally, I am also willing to lie about how we met. I'm sure we can think of something creative (that would likely garner grandparent approval and minimize judgmental snickers).

Anyway, congrats (or condolences) on getting to the end of the profile. It takes a lady with a strong stomach and nerves of steel to do so, and since this is the case, we should consider getting to know one another. Feel free to get in touch! Winking, emailing, skywriting, and smoke signaling are all acceptable forms of outreach (no singing telegrams, please). However, I will understand if you pursue the more prudent course of action -- blocking me while speed dialing your therapist for an emergency appointment (most girls tell me the night terrors lessen in a week or two).

But seriously, I'd love to chat.
