HI there...so after much resistance to actually pay for a dating site, i caved in and here I am. That glass of wine probably had something to do with it...so if this actually works out, I'll be sure to make more life decisions slightly in the bag. After scanning some profiles and wanting to cancel my membership immediately, I'd still like to believe that those normal looking actors on match.com commercials are actually real people. So...about me: I have lived in NYC for the past 4 years, and was born and raised on both Long Island and New Jersey. Yes, that's best of both worlds. Somehow I dodged a very thick accent from both places.
I went to school in Virginia and thoroughly enjoyed living a country lifestyle for 4 years...but happy to be back in the city. I can't imagine living anywhere else, despite my lack of closet space and built in gym (5th floor walkup). I'm lucky enough to have all of my family living in and around the city so I spend a lot of time with them. I played sports all my life and like to lead an active lifestyle. Last Fall I trained for the NYC marathon on Nov 4th but thanks to Sandy I wound up "running" the Philly marathon right before Thanksgiving. They say it's the best worst day of your life...which would only be true if it were the NYC Marathon. Philly is cool, but its no NYC. Now that I'm not chained to a grueling training schedule, I'm up to my old tricks again of trying to drink a bar out of their white wine supply. Just kidding! I actually try to lead a balanced lifestyle, just like everyone else.
I do enjoy reading, but don't do it nearly enough unless I'm on beach away from distraction. My worst nightmare is being trapped in a hot apartment or confided to a buggy patch of grass in the summer, so I do beach house every year.
I'm looking for someone fun and funny above all else...if you can't laugh at yourself (or me), then continue on. If you like to keep yourself in shape/lead an active lifestyle...even better. I'm a little sarcastic, and strongly believe in the value of good, consistent banter. Great family and friends, a must. If you fit the bill, looking forward to hearing from you!
