Hey, thanks for checking out my profile. I've been in the Bay area for few years now, but still feel like I'm building my network here after moving from Chicago. I grew up in suburban Detroit and then lived in Chicago and New York before moving out west, and have been able to travel quite a bit in between. Of course my parents - having grown increasingly conservative as they've gotten older - consider California a warmer version of communist Russia, and for some weird reason think Nancy Pelosi is responsible for destroying the economy.
I have an amazing job that mixes technology, sports and entertainment, and I'm passionate about what I do. I tend to be pretty outgoing and social, and love good company and conversation - there's nothing better than sharing stories with friends.
I've been an athlete my entire life, and I stay active and spend as much time as I can outdoors. I moved out here in large part to get away from winter, and love being able to run around outside year round. I played golf in college, and after taking some time off am getting back into it. Its also worth noting that most golf resorts also have amazing spas and great weather. just sayin' :)
Friends describe me as thoughtful and warm, and I while I can be pretty intense about my career or things I care about, hardly a day goes by that I don't notice the humor in some random everyday situation (there was a blind guy sitting behind my friend and I when we saw "The Artist" a few months ago. Its a silent film).
I believe in being open and honest, but not brutal - I think you can be considerate and truthful without being nasty. I'm pretty self-aware, and good communication is important to me in relationships.
