I was born on the east coast and moved to Hawaii when I was four. I consider myself very lucky to have grown up in such a beautiful and special place. I'm very grateful to my parents that they decided to move from Massachusetts to Hawaii, as I don't think I would have survived the winters on the east coast. I'm definitely a warm weather girl, which is one reason why I love living in LA! Surprisingly though, I'm not a big beach person, and I'm not a very good swimmer. But I do know how to dance hula, I danced for about 14 years from the age of six.
I moved to LA in 2007 after living in Northern Cali for seven years as I finished my schooling. I got my B.S. in Animal Science from UC Davis and then went to tech school to become a veterinary technician. I love my job, it's very rewarding and every day is different. I love feeling like I've made a difference in caring for an animal or educating a client about their pet. It's not always cute puppies and kittens though, sometimes it can be a very dirty, gross, stressful job. But I can't imagine doing anything else!
I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of what all LA has to offer, and would love to explore more of it with a special someone. I tend to stay local when I go out, mostly to downtown Burbank. It would be nice to meet someone who can introduce me to a different part of LA. I like going to the movies, restaurants, comedy clubs, bars/lounges. I've done a couple hikes around LA and would love to do more.
I'm very close with my family, I go home to visit them twice a year. My parents have been married for over 40 years and they are my role models. I have a great brother who's 11 years older than me, and an adorable 8 year old niece. Family is very important to me, and I would love to have a family of my own someday.
I'm looking for a guy who's grounded and stable in his life, who knows who he is and what he wants in life. I like nice guys who know how to treat a woman with respect and make her feel special. I'm attracted to intelligence and a good sense of humor. I like guys who take care of themselves and care about their appearance, but not to an extreme. Oh and he must like dogs!
