Okay, I was born in LA but grew up on the Central coast of California, I moved back about 5 years ago but all of my close friends still live pretty far from me. I have a lot down here but most of us have differing schedules so it's hard for me to get together with them on a regular basis.
It took me a long time and a few upheavals in the past few years to get me focused on myself and my future. I guess you could say this whole year has been 'getting my ^$# together'. I have had many people come to into my life and they've all remained in my memory or near my heart. But my family as a whole has really made me who I am today. I am very close to mostly my mom's side of the family, my only cousin on that side is like a sister to me.
I guess my friends would describe me as funny, easy-going, and sweet. I'm kind of quiet and shy, but when you get to know me I have a very quirky and warm personality. However, I can be a smart ass. But I'm not a mean person. You just have to deal with a dry sense of humor with me.
I'm most proud of my bachelor's degree and my drive to get back into school. I've also worked and trained hard to become a professional dancer and I'm very proud of that too. Besides dance, I am most passionate about seeing as much of this world as I can. I love to travel. I'm planning New Orleans for my birthday this year and Europe again for my 30th next year. Every now and again it helps to take the beaten path, it makes for some awesome stories.
I'm totally over the club scene, but every now and again I like to go to a lounge with some chill music and have a couple glasses of wine. I work on the weekends and attend class on the weekdays so there isn't much of a social life, I hope to meet someone to change that up a bit. Actually that's why I'm here. I can't see myself dating the guys I come across in work or class. I'm most attracted to someone who's confident but not cocky, who can take a lot of sarcasm, is honest but not brutally so, and of course is kind and sympathetic. I'm not looking for a 'hook-up'. So turn back now if you are.
I also really hate to say it but I'm not interested in anyone over 40 or if you've been married before. I've actually done all of that before and I'm over that too. Having said that, I'm also straightforward and will say what I want.
