I'm THOUGHTFUL. My friends' happiness is my highest priority. I care a great deal about the people in my life, and I go out of my way and make sacrifices to make sure they are okay. But I make sure I only surround myself with quality people so I don't get taken advantage of. I would love to be sweet to you, and if you're the same way, that's awesome. But I'm not the bad-boy macho-man that hopefully you've lost interest in since you were in school.
I'm FUN. I can enjoy a conversation on almost any topic. We can take advantage of all the fun activities our city (and state, country, or world for that matter) has to offer, like the restaurants, attractions, parks and beaches. Isn't it fun to be a tourist, even in your own "backyard"? It's so sad when I talk to friends who have never even been to Vizcaya. I must admit I'm also a movie hound and I like well-written TV shows (and DWTS), but I like to talk about them, not just be a passive consumer (I think I was a film maker in another life). I laugh a lot at comedies. And about real life too.
I'm NORMAL. You know after that first date, you tell your friends about how your date couldn't stop complimenting your knees and talking about his stuffed squirrel collection? Yeah, that's not me. The weirdest thing about me might be a penchant to quote movie lines or answer a question with a song lyric, especially if you ask me "who I'm gonna call". I'm interested in a lot of subjects of our rich world, so I don't have the time or focus to be obsessed on any one area.
I like to SEE THE WORLD. I've been to some really incredible destinations in the world, like France, Egypt and Costa Rica. But like Anthony Bourdain says, "I'm hungry for more!" I'm looking to set foot in Asia next year, and South America someday soon. It's also fun to hit Orlando, Tampa, maybe some Smithsonians in DC. I try to be accommodating to the travel style of whoever I'm with, so if you like to take it slow and leisurely, and soak up a place, or you like to pack it all in for a mad dash through the city, I'm game. Is your passport (US or World Showcase) ready?
Now, don't get me wrong about the traveling. I don't want to spend every week gallivanting around the globe, looking for high adventure. I'm perfectly happy with a night at home with the best company - you. I do like cooking (I'm a decent cook/baker but I'm not a strong taster so you'd have to taste test for me, make sure you like it!) I like to try my hand at different ethnic foods. Internet recipes make that really easy. Halloween is my favorite holiday so I like to be creative and sew/sculpt/construct outfits to wear each year. I made most of the costumes in my pics. I've made some for other people as well. I'm not quite at the Oscar-winning level of costumery yet, but I try and I enjoy doing it.
Yes, I have long hair. Always have, except for a brief stint in college when I worked at the Disney Store. I cut it to my shoulders in October 2012 and donated it. All my pics have it long except the Mad-Eye Moody one, which is a bit longer than I have it now.
One last thing, and I really hate having to mention it, but this IS Miami, vanity capital of the Southeast, so if you are "surgically enhanced", we're probably NOT a match. I would wish you luck, but you won't need it in this city.
