New to Philly...it’s a change, and I miss the Midwest. I have lived in New York City, our nation’s Capital, as well as throughout the Midwest. Yet, I have difficulty defining where home is. I am an international traveler and dream of a career where I will retain that freedom. I am a physician that believes everyone has the right to health care. I want to save the world and don’t think it should take celebrities (or the One Campaign) to make that dream cool. I love to learn. I want to know everything and oftentimes think I do. I am open to being wrong. I am obsessed with grammar. My pet peeves include improper use of to, too, and two as well as their, they're and there. I love doing things I know that I shouldn't. I have been told that I am a cross between Angelina Jolie and Paris Hilton. While that statement worries me, I have to admit they're both hot. I have trekked throughout the temples of Thailand and jungles of Central America and seen true beauty. I have stood on the railway ties of Birkenau, walking amongst the ghosts, and understood the atrocities man is capable of. When I was young, I thought the world was full of amazing people with enormous potential to change the world…I still do and am surrounded by these people daily.
