I am an intelligent, patient, kind, and well-grounded person. I also have a great sense of humor (kind of dry, I’m told), although that may not come across in this profile. I am looking for someone who has some of these same qualities, is intelligent, attractive and sweet, and has a personality that complements mine.
I am secure and settled in my career and have no ongoing issues with my ex. Which is awesome. I live downtown. There are a lot of good restaurants around here I haven’t tried yet, let’s go! I also like seeking out smaller, one-of-a-kind restaurants and watering holes.
I like to get out of the house and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. I exercise regularly and am fit, but my life does not revolve around my precious "workout schedule". I am a big reader and usually have a book and a couple of magazines going.
My pictures are recent (some very recent) and I haven’t gained 30 pounds or aged 15 years since they were taken. As you can see, I am getting some salt and pepper on the temples.
I drink strong (very strong) coffee and like poking around in places with interesting stuff to look at. I like live theater and try to attend a play a month. It would be great to meet someone I can share that interest with.
I like music (all types, although my favorite is alternative rock, The Black Keys are my current favorite band - I also like classic hard rock, funk, r'n'b, blues, cool movie soundtracks - my iPod is packed), movies (again, all types - but I particularly like classics and indie films. Gotta admit, I have a weakness for loud action movies too). I like seeing live music performances, we’ve got lots of good venues in SD.
I’m a fun guy. You will be able to get me out on the dance floor. I like cats and dogs. They seem to like me too. Birds are ok. Reptiles, not so much.
I have no kids of my own but I am fine (possibly great) with yours.
In the interest of full disclosure, I need to state that even though I selected "book club" as an interest, I've never actually belonged to one. I hope that's not a deal breaker.

I can't really describe in detail what qualities I am looking for because there are so many elements that combine in every person, often in unexpected ways. Chemistry, I guess. I have a lot to offer. I am not looking for someone who necessarily shares my exact interests but I am seeking someone with whom I feel a spark or connection. Thanks for reading.
