Originally from Ireland, I have lived here for 2 years. I was in Chicago for 3 years also. I think I still sound Irish, but a few people have asked if I am from the East Coast recently, so it may be coming close to the dreaded day when I visit home, am asked what part of the states I am from and then receive a lecture on the shortcomings of U.S. foreign policy. There are certain aspects of Chicago that I miss. It’s such a big city that I think I was only scratching the surface after 3 years. There is definitely a more relaxed atmosphere in San Diego, and it is great living less than a block from the beach.
I work hard during the week, and enjoy the occasional night of bar hopping on weekends, but I am starting to get too old to be out clubbing until 3 am every weekend.
I spend my spare time reading books, in the gym and wasting time on the internet. I am learning to fly planes and learning to surf (having more success flying planes so far).
I don’t have a specific type. If you can make me laugh, and are reasonably open minded, we will get along (by ‘open minded’, I mean not too easily offended. If you were thinking something else, get your mind out of the gutter!).
