I enjoy the serenity and quiescence of country life and the hustle and bustle of the city. Agrestic sights exhilarate the spirit and there are not many things more refreshing than stepping outside to breathe in the crisp, clean air and seeing what nature has to offer. On the other hand, walking in the sand along the beach and feeling the cool ocean breeze is just as exhilarating. Like most guys I have my strengths and weaknesses, although I like to think the positives by far outweigh the negatives. My friends describe me as witty, insightful, and empathetic. I have a good sense of humor and enjoy making people smile. I am a retired surgeon and although I am happy with the path I chose and received a lot of fulfillment from it, a career as a physician was too restrictive, demanding, and time-consuming. My biggest mistake was taking care of the masses instead of focusing on the few that are most important to me. I refuse to make the same mistake twice. I now practice complimentary medicine. I will fill you in on what that means in person; otherwise my passion will cause me to babble incessantly .
I thought my midlife crisis peaked when moving to California. It has not happened yet. Do not get me wrong, I am quite content on the farm in Midwest with my two dogs at my side. Sitting on the dock and feeding the horses, ducks, and catfish is quite entertaining. Sure they are great companions because they do not talk back to you (except for the chickens) or complain when you do something wrong. In a perfect world I would love to have the farm in California and enjoy all that LA has to offer. Too many doors have opened in California and there does not seem to be enough time to walk through all of them. I would like a companion to share in the fun of closing a few or perhaps even opening up a few more. My latest adventure is in acting. I still can't believe it! It is no longer a hobby, but rather a fun-filled journey with no expectations. The point is to enjoy every minute of it. By the way, the close up photos of me were taken in 2012. What you see is what you get. I am not on call and I have no emergencies. I can practice complimentary medicine, do my acting gigs, and most importantly devote and share my time with that special someone. Then it will be time to travel and see what the rest of the world has to offer...together. I hope my midlife crisis never peaks!
I am seeking a relationship filled with passion and devotion. Communication and intimacy are an absolute must. My ideal partner would be attractive, witty, compassionate, and faithful. I want us to be able to listen attentively to each other's words for hours on end. I want to be able to hold you in my arms without having to say a word for hours on end.
