I grew up in the trendy, vacation destination state of Iowa..not Ohio or Idaho : ) After college, I moved to Chicago and decided to take a cross country trip....I drove to every state (except Hawaii and Alaska) to explore and see if I wanted to stay in the Midwest. The adventure made me realize that the West Coast and especially Northern CA, was the place for me. I've lived in other cities (Denver, Monterey) since first moving to San Francisco, but moved back to SF because it felt like home. It's tough to beat living in an area where you can have weekend getaways like Carmel, wine country, Mendocino, Tahoe, etc...or walk just a few blocks from home and hike through the Presidio or down to Crissy Field and the Golden Gate. I also love to travel abroad...haven't seen that on a profile, have you : ) Went to Argentina and Uruguay most recently. Nothing like discovering new places, different cultures, amazing food...and then come home, order take-out and enjoy a movie or catch up on DVR recordings (especially Colbert!) on the couch.
What's most important to me is balance in my life, keeping an open mind, appreciating the little things...sharing a laugh with a friend or a lazy day at the beach..not taking myself too seriously but caring about what's going on around me. I'm looking to meet someone that's down to earth, straight forward, makes me laugh and brings out the best in me...and I would do the same for them...
