I grew up in Buffalo and moved from this area after college. Now I am back but work a great deal as a fisheries biologist in Alaska. I will be in WNY till January and then I will be returning to sea for a few months. I understand that my traveling lifestyle puts me at a disadvantage to expect anything like a long term relationship. But even if I just meet a friend who I can have an adult conversation with and navigate these weird post-mid-thirties/pre-forties waters with, I think that's well worth it.
I am an outdoorsman at heart - I enjoy spending time outdoors whether its a hike, a camp, or just a walk in the park or down the street. I am definitely a Buffalo sports fan, loyal to the core. I lived in Raleigh for 8 years, and stayed true to my roots while many of my fellow WNYers jumped on the Carolina Hurricane bandwagon. Sad days indeed. My interests are fairly diverse. I am open-minded and adventurous. I like to try new foods, new places, and try new things. I am a bit shy at first, but I'm fairly easy to get to know and besides, I think listening is an important part of any conversation.
I am looking for someone who has a good sense of who she is and what she wants out of life. Someone who can have as much
fun staying in as she can going out. Someone who is adventurous, caring, optimistic and free-spirited. I am turned off by anybody that is intolerant and constantly negative.
