Hello gentlemen...
I would describe myself as a traditional southern belle, but with the confidence, open-mindedness and experience of a "city" girl. (that kind of makes me sound like a redneck, but just go with it for a second) I'm originally from Chattanooga, TN, went to Charleston, SC for undergrad, then Savannah, GA for grad school, then Brooklyn, NY--finally ending up in DC.
While work is very important to me, I do not let it consume my life--what's the point if you have nothing to come home to? I certainly have my own opinions (imagine that), but also think one of my best qualities is empathy. I do not like those who shy away from a discussion, but instead resolve it and move on.
I absolutely know how to have a good time, and am always up for ANY sports game, restaurant or bar. On the other hand I am definitely a home body, and enjoy often working from home. I love to go out and be social, but equally enjoy cooking dinner and watching tv at home--I like a good balance.
While I definitely require a guy who can take a good ball-busting from time to time, I love taking care of guys and doing the whole southern belle thing like my mom. I am a drinking-buddy and caregiver at the same time--again, I think balance is key.
Humor is by FAR the most important thing I look for in a guy. He does not need to be a stand-up comic, but just able to roll with the punches and find humor in most things. I'm a focused but laid back girl looking for the same in a guy. I want someone who can be my best friend and that I can have a great time with, but also someone who is stable and caring.
Ok, so I think that should do it--if you have any questions just ask!
