I am a wannabe photographer, world traveler, amateur endurance athlete, and professional nerd. I enjoy spending my free time participating in activities including, but not limited to, being outdoors, home brewing, training for my next cycling century, immersing myself in learning new things, volunteering, planning my next big international escapade, and cuddling. I am driven in all my endeavors and willing to try anything at least once. I also flew my first airline before I drove my first car.
"When you see a lake, you think picnics, and I see a large mouth up under that log." I lived in seven different states and took a little bit away from each place to make me who I am today. I spent most of my time growing up in North Carolina where I was instilled with the southern values of strong faith, family, old-fashioned chivalry and country music! I ended up in California ten years ago when I helped a friend drive across the country and then never left. Although my family is 3000 miles away, we are very close, and I cherish the opportunities I get to see them multiple times a year.
