When you first meet me, I come off as a quiet person but once you get to know me you will discover a sharp, witty, sarcastic sense of humor...with a heart of gold. I am a kind soul who looks for the good in everyone. In the past this has allowed me to trust those whom I shouldn't have; but, I am grateful for those experiences as I have learned more of who I am, who I'm not, who I am looking for, and what really makes me happy.
Now, don't get me wrong, I love going out and having a good time. That being said, I am trying this on-line thing as I am sick of the guys who come up to talk to me in a bar. As well, I am looking for someone who wants to explore Colorado and maybe a larger trip....or 5? We live in such a beautiful state, why not make a day road trip?
I am passionate about human and animal rights, volunteer with a local animal shelter and completed an internship with worldwide humanitarian medical relief agency (which fed my desire for international humanitarian aid). I have just begun my teaching Sociology at a local college. Teaching is the most rewarding and challenging career I have found and I love it! :) I am addicted to yoga and pilates, reading, consuming and understanding culture and society (both ours and others), laughing, telling stupid jokes, my family, and my friends. I am fortunate to have my parents, sister, and amazing nephew close by, and spend time with them as much as I can. However, teaching keeps me busy so I do live an independent life.
Growing up with a pilot for a Father, I love to travel and explore. Adventure is part of life! Anyone ready to jet to Cuba, Machu Picchu or the Envision Festival in Costa Rica? Maybe West Africa, Egypt, India, Thailand, Nepal, Austrlia, Spain, Ireland...anywhere!
