I have lived in Los Angeles and San Diego area for little over 12 years now. I tend to listen to soft rock, some hip pop, reggae, and popular music at any given time. I am very family oriented and two of my older married siblings live close to me. I love playing and watching the sport called Cricket. I try to go to gym at least few times a week. My favorite TV shows are Modern Family, NCIS, and reruns of The Unit, Two and Half Men, and Scrubs. I try to stay current with politics so I watch CNN, MSNBC, and local news quite often. I like going to movies, coffee, drinks, dinner, hanging out, or do anything else that is fun. I love to travel and have done some so far but I look forward to explore more, including visiting more states right here in the U.S.
Helping others as much as I can is a passion of mine. I am lucky that I have been able to do that professionally for over two years as a social worker. I decided to advance my career so last September I started my master's in Social Work. Once graduated, as of now, I want to continue work for the government.
What can I offer you? I like to consider myself as a positive, driven, simple and open minded guy. I might take a while before I warm up to you. But, I will open up quicker if I am interested in your company. I know I have family, work, and school commitments but for the right girl, I could always find time to keep in touch, even if that means sending a text (I use text a lot lol). I would try to be good friends first before anything else to see if both of us would benefit from each other’s company.
What I may expect from you? I was born and raised in Sri Lanka. Thus, you have to be from Sri Lanka and/or to fully okay with dating with the possibility of getting married one day with a Sri Lankan.
I got to the point of my life that I am looking for something serious. However, I believe in building a healthy and mutually beneficial friendship first. I value simplicity in life a lot so if you are simple, open minded, and genuine, chances are that we are going to get along just fine. I am not drawn to any drama, negativity, or delusional (oh, I can’t stand extreme religious people who doesn’t use common sense and discriminative). I know some of the U.S. culture is still foreign for me as much as some of my culture might be foreign for you so I hope you would be flexible, open-minded, and patient with me with things, including getting used to my accent lol (it’s not that heavy though).
