About me?
Let's see, like the quote, I've never been one for a grand scheme, life goals or a 'target' for the arrow of my life. An NYC native, I kind of drifted through college, loving everything but locking in on nothing in particular except maybe psychology, media studies and broadcasting - not that I ever really worked in that field of course.
Post-college I'd just always wanted to enjoy life. Laugh with friends, meet new and interesting people, explore life, and professionally just to give myself a comfortable life and take pride to be my best in whatever work I am doing. In other words, just fire the arrow out there, fire it well, and see where it goes.
Well, that approach has taken me along an interesting path, to some interesting places. With one thing and another, in the drift of my post-college days, I wound up living and working overseas operating offices for a US employer in Hyderabad, India and Sofia, Bulgaria. My time in Bulgaria was life changing.
Some years back I thought I might try with a little less of the 'unaimed approach' and ... well, after that little experiment, which I will be happy to share with the right person if and when we meet ... I learned a lot about myself and what I want from life.
And what did I learn? Life's always a work in progress, but I've learned I need a mixture of the unaimed - I don't have a goal to be the head of Project Management for example. But I also need some professional and personal goals, even if they are not grandiose life targets. And to make the achievement of those little goals, and the sharing of the journey to them, worthwhile I need the right person to share my life with.
I consider myself a fun loving person - a thinker with a comedic personality, who loves to play, but also knows when to be serious and buckle down. Right now I am adjusting to being back in the US, in a new city, and think I am ready to get back out there and meet someone. I think the right like minded lady who has a sense of humor, an easy smile - and someone with a sweet side to compliment their spicy side - will find me to be a great match.
