I am the girl next door--all American, Midwestern at heart, who loves her favorite sports teams, time with family and friends, and staying busy. I can sit and yell at a basketball game on TV (please forgive me if I curse when we aren't playing well), or dress it up for a night on the town. However, flip flops are my fave and I prefer chill bars more than clubs.
I was born in Chicago, but my dad's job moved us around a lot. My parents are back in Chicago so I consider that home. I lived for a while in North Carolina, mainly for college... Hence the "carolina girl" reference above. i love UNC and am still actively involved with the university. The first weekend of March Madness is my favorite time of the year.
I work for a non-profit that I love, and am able to go to sleep at night knowing that my job makes a difference in the world. I love to travel, and hope to do more of it. I like to laugh, try new things, learn. I am very committed to those I care about and will do anything for those that I love. But I also will always speak my mind and be honest. I love a good discussion that gets me to think about things in a different way.
I am attracted to men who are confident but not cocky; independent, but not distant. Someone who is fun and outgoing, and likes to be silly and laugh at himself. Passion is a must, as well as a fantastic friendship. I am looking for someone who will teach me new things and who ultimately will bring out the best in me.
