I have spent the majority of the last two years traveling out west. I am lucky to say adventure, food, friends, family, and my dog have been my focus. I have been back east since late January, am happy to be home, and am smack in the middle of getting my food business underway; kitchen space, marketing, revamped business plan. I am curious about everything and passionate about much. I love life's little moments; the perfect cup of coffee, kids waving from a nearby car, the pink evening sky, a new word, the soft sounds of laughter and seagulls as I fall asleep on the beach.
I grew up in Philadelphia and the Main Line. I have lived many places since. I spent the majority of the past two years out west and ten years in Manhattan just before. I have traveled a lot: the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, most of Europe, Australia, Canada, the Caribbean a bit, and now, much of the US.
I love the outdoors. Hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, swimming, kayaking. As a chef, I love food, I love to eat, to try new restaurants, fancy and not so much. I'm looking forward to throwing dinner parties again, flea market season, checking out the Tanner exhibit. I read, watch movies, and really enjoy hanging out with my family.
I am loving, loyal, tenacious, tender, thoughtful, kind, soft, tough and a spitfire. I try to be my best at all times. Even when I miss my mark, it's still important to me to try. I respect those who strive to be exceptional.
I believe things always work out. I believe good comes from bad. I believe in breakfast for dinner, the perfect Bloody Mary and Ira Glass. I believe being able to laugh and not take myself too seriously, especially when all my chips are down, has something big to do with what life is all about. I believe in grammar, split infinitives, and Hersheypark.
I can build a fire, wear a little dress, break down a lamb, distinguish cars, play poker, lift boxes, tackle multiple remotes, have a wonderful time. I'm looking for a partner; a man entirely capable who's got it himself but knows it could be better; who is looking for his BASF. Cole Porter sums it all up, for me, in I Get a Kick Out of You. His lyrics are my Match ad. I could just leave it there. But, I won't. (Because it'd be plagiarism. And, lazy.) I'm looking for my favorite face in a crowd and a hand to hold walking home. You are kind, compassionate, honest, true, and loyal. You have lifelong friends, a close family, admirable priorities. You can take the lead. You desire a woman comfortable in her independence and sexuality. You love your work and your hobbies, have opinions, speak your mind, are in touch with your heart. You make people laugh and everyone loves having you around. You're a guy they count on and adore. You are second to none.
You are smart. A superdidooper smarty pants. You love to learn and to teach. You answer the question,"How was your day?" You pay attention to the world, you seek adventure, take risks, yet you're the furthest thing from a braggart. You're game. You love a party, you'll go the extra mile, jump in the car for a last minute getaway, and you'll sit home on a Sunday; lazying away the day with books, newspapers, old movies, and your favorite IPA. Or, Bordeaux. Or, single malt. Or, coffee.
It's good being you. And, you're ready for the next chapter.
