My sense of humor is a bit dry and my interests are pretty diverse. Just when you think you have me figured out, I'll surprise you. You don't need to be a rocket scientist (although that's not an exclusionary criterion either), but you have to be introspective and clever--and strong. I'm interested in someone who can see the positives in a difficult situation, but also the complexity in situations where it's tempting to oversimplify things.
I love to travel so a similar love is a must. My favorite places are in Eastern Europe but in the past two years I've also been to Turkey, Greece, Cypru, Argentina, Thailand, Hawaii, most of Western Europe, and even Iraq. I'm a college professor and I develop treatments for people with addictive behaviors so I'm all for introspection, serious conversations and hearing your take on things, but I also like going out to nice dinners, I exercise daily, and I have an impulsive side that sometimes gets me into (minor) trouble.
I've just moved out to Leesburg after 10 years in DC to finally get some space. So far I love it out here and im enjoying working on a house for a change. But...I'm in the city almost daily and still have my condo in Woodley Park if I decide to move back at some point.
