Hi, my name is Ben, nice to meet you. As you can see I love to quote movies. They are why I moved out here, so it's natural :) I work a 9-5 in the office while purusing my love for film. I'm originally from Wisconsin (GO PACKERS!!! Cheeseheads Unite!!), in the city of Milwaukee ... yes, there's a major, vibrant city in Wisconsin, no, I'm not a farmer, no, I've never tipped cows, YES!! there are black people in Wisconsin!! :)
I enjoy meeting new people! I like to meet women with a strong sense of their femininity. I want to feel like I'm dealing with a woman, not a man. So not necessarily girly girls, just non-manly girls lol.
I love anything of the arts. So I love listening to classical music, in particular movie scores or anything with a piano and violin. As everyone else, if it sounds good I'll listen to it. Eminem has become a recent favorite, I like his passion.
Of course, I love to watch all kinds of movies. Woody Allen and Billy Wilder are probably my most favorite directors; Marilyn Monroe is definitely my favorite actor. I write movie reviews for my blog as an unofficial film critic. It started out as simple thoughts and a couple sentences about whatever was new at the time, and then turned into writing full length reviews in a professional manner and not just telling all my friends that "G.I. Joe Sucked!" It keeps me on my toes as someone who needs to stay in tune with what's going on in the movie business, the world I will break into very soon as an upcoming filmmaker. It also helps my screenwriting endeavors :)
Aside from the movie theater I like live theater, the opera, ballet, museums, film festivals, comedy shows, all things I jump at, or at least try to. Happy hour, Dodger games, coffee dates, staying in and cooking a meal together, or dining out are things I like as well. I also like to play sports on the beach (flag football and beach volleyball) as well as just hanging out there all day with a book or a script.
