My passion is teaching. It's been my life for the past six years, and it's the most rewarding and challenging thing I've ever done. I feel like the terrific young people in my classes bring out the best in me, but now I'm looking to enjoy life outside of school just a little bit more.
I've lived in Wisconsin my entire life - grew up in New Berlin, went to college in Madison, and now live just outside of Milwaukee - but love to travel. This past summer I was fortunate to be able to spend a few weeks in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Hopefully A western U.S. national parks trip will happen next summer, and I'd like to make it to southern Europe and Turkey at some point.
I enjoy playing piano and guitar (albeit not all that well); fishing, hunting or hiking; laying around and watching an occasional movie; and having honest conversation, possibly over some good beer. I get nostalgic for my childhood - especially holidays and family vacations - and am fortunate to have terrific parents.
When I meet a girl, I want her to be herself. Just showing up and sharing her personality and experiences with me is wonderful, so if it doesn't work out between us, there's no hard feelings. I'd be untruthful if I stated that I know exactly what I want in a relationship, but if something feels right, I'll run with it.
