I have discovered that we all have many sides to who we are – how to capture it all here? Well, I consider myself (and have been told) that I can be funny and silly but serious, passionate, exhaustively tenacious, smart, loving, caring, compassionate and loyal. One of my fondest memories is when my grandmother would refer to me as un Caballero. I try to honor that everyday.
I’m happy and proud of my life – all my failures and successes included, but I never want to stop learning and growing. A life without fear, or at least one where I recognize and deal with fear, is an ongoing quest.
Having spent 8 years in NYC and growing up in Chicago, I have a strong work ethic and am very ambitious about my career. However, I know a balanced life of love, family, friends and career is true success. As am ambitious as I am, I want to play often! Witty banter and playful humor is a must. I love someone I can joke around with and who can dish out/receive the sarcasm.
I LOVE MUSIC – Hip hop, Alt, rock, reggae, opera, classical, blues, jazz, give me more!!! My first love was listening to "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" in the first grade...I was mesmerized. Live music – from indie bands to the opera - are an integral part of my life. I the first part of my life as a musician/writer (guitar, drums, producer), but decided that as a career I was better off helping creatives in the business and legal aspects of their careers; music, film and art play a big part of my life.
Yes, I cook and clean! I'm also a bit of a foodie and love wine, but I can appreciate French Laundry as much as a taco truck. I have been privileged enough to experience some of the finer things in life and humble enough to realize the difference between luxuries and necessities.
Traveling is important to me - internationally and more often nationally. I make it a point to try and learn at least the minimum of the spoken language of the country I am visiting out of respect. I do try and avoid restaurants and bars with fellow tourist - I want to eat and drink with the people as much as possible.
Taking time to truly discover one another is crucial and I am excited for the journey. I don't play by any rules (3 days to call, etc.) but choose to follow my feelings. My ideal mate is someone who's genuinely happy and open to the idea of a TRUE partnership. Someone who is REAL with themselves (and me), confident and communicates their wants and needs. Life throws so many curves; I prefer to be with someone who has found happiness within themselves and looks to me as a true compliment to their life. Education is a plus, but passion is more important. Someone who can get up and go but has sass, edge, and dresses her ass off (when appropriate) with a walk that's mean. That's you, right?
